Using the Marketplace Modal?
When configuring column mappings in the Add/Edit Marketplace dialog, use dynamic variables like
productTitle or variantSku to auto-populate fields from your product catalog.📋Before You Start
- Active Rakuten Ichiba seller account (rakuten.co.jp or global)
- Rakuten RMS access with API enabled (contact your Rakuten account manager)
- Rakuten Service Secret and License Key
🔧Setup Steps
- 1Enable API access in Rakuten RMSLog into rms.rakuten.co.jp. Navigate to Store Settings → External System Integration → API Settings. Enable API access for your store. If you do not see this option, contact your Rakuten account manager to have API access activated for your account.
- 2Obtain your Service Secret and License KeyIn the API Settings section, copy your Service Secret and License Key. These are your authentication credentials for Rakuten's API.
- 3Enter credentials in PythiasIn Pythias, go to Admin → Integrations → Add New Integration → Rakuten. Enter your Service Secret and License Key. Click Test Connection and then Save.
- 4Configure shipping settingsRakuten orders are shipped within Japan using Japanese carriers (Yamato Transport, Sagawa, Japan Post). In the integration settings, configure your default carrier and confirm that the carrier codes used by Pythias match Rakuten's accepted carrier list.

- New orders (polled every 10 minutes)
- Order items, Rakuten item IDs, quantities, and buyer shipping address
- Shipment confirmation with carrier code and tracking number
- Order status update
💡Tips & Troubleshooting
- Rakuten's API documentation is primarily in Japanese. Pythias support can assist with carrier code mappings for Japanese carriers.
- Rakuten Ichiba (Japan) and Rakuten Global Market (international) are separate platforms with different API endpoints — confirm which platform your account uses.
